Governance
Governance describes the rules, practices and processes by which a place or institution is directed and managed. Exploring governance means analysing how power and authority are shared by the state, civil society and the economy to address key societal issues such as housing and health care. Resources in this section emphasize place-based, collaborative and horizontal governance arrangements, where people are directly involved in making decisions about the issues that affect them, regardless of their status in society or their characteristics.
